Trip to Solvang

Here's some pics taken from our trip to Solvang and some miscelleneous pictures before Solvang. So here, Jane Higa the long awaited pictures you asked me for. And Jason, don't worry these pictures have some other than Kianna's picture, I added a few things so it won't be too cute.....

The new pictures are great. Looks like Kianna is going to be a good eater nd not too picky. Solvang looks beautiful too. You did a great job , Wella

I'm Karen, Jason's wife. I can't believe you guys went to Solvang!!! I lived in California from 1970-75 (YES, I"m OLD) and LOVED Solvang!!!!!!!

Thanks for the stroll down memory lane!!

Kianna's so beautiful. We enjoy watching her grow up.

Tell Solvang hello from an old admirer next time you're there.

Hi Karen!!! It's great to hear from you. We have really come to love Solvang because it's just so relaxing and beautiful there.

Where did you live in California? We're in Orange County.

I guess we're getting better and doing this whole raising kids thing. I am really starting to enjoy Kianna more because she is starting to do some baby talking and I just love the sound of that.

We lived in Lompoc for 2 yrs.and VanNuys for 3 yrs.

Since you have a little girl I'll share with you my favorite Solvang thing---hope they still have them. They are teeny tiny dolls made of rubber, the arms and legs bend and the one I had had a little red and black plaid dress on--oooo, I can still see her, I LOVED that little doll. ( She was about the size of a small egg.) They also had a restaurant that served the best split-pea soup ever!! I hope I can go back there again some day. I have a cousin who lives in the SanFransisco Bay area, how far is that from Solvang??

Please keep the Kianna pics. comin', Jacob likes to look at them as much as we do!

Maybe I should ask Jason how to send you a "regular" email so all of this isn't on your Kianna site----sorry.

I know the restuarant you are talking about. The name of the place is Pea Soup Andersens and you are right, they do have the best split pea soup. Would you like me to send you some? They sell the split pea soup in the can now so I can send some to you, if you want.

I haven't seen the doll you were talking about but I will look for it when I come back and visit Solvang again.

I saw some pics of Jacob on your site and he's cute. I'm glad Jacob is enjoying Kianna's pictures as well. We haven't taken a picture of her lately but hopefully by next week we will have some more pictures. She is turning 5 months next week. Jacob is about 1 year and 5 months now isn't he?

So Jason you said Jacob changed...what kind of change. I need some tips from you guys on what I should be expecting month to month. Sometimes the book doesn't tell you everything, I like to hear based from experience. By the way, thanks for the poem. I do appreciate poems when I can understand it, I guess I'm kinda like Bugs.

San Francisco is about 8 hours drive to Solvang......
