Excellent! Yes, I have seen all those pictures before but I had forgotten about them. I'm torn between three of them:

Okee-dokee, got some more this trip too, paid alot more attention to photography this time out and hope to have some more goodies for to look at, got some sunsets and windsurfing that I think will be promising... I'll download tomorrow at work and dig the others out as well, gotta ward you though, the humpback ones are not that good, the digital was not responsive enough on the trigger to cath them so I ended up using a 35mm and the wife made the mistake of having them printed with a nasty matte finish that didn't scan well at all...

now.. tell me how to post my name on the puzzle scores when I do well! Or have I not done well enough yet? =)

I think I had better take a look at your new shots before I make a final decision. Sunsets and surfing sound pretty tempting!

Name on the puzz eh? Well, scoring is only for the "hard" setting and if you're in the top ten, your name will show. But I must warn you that a couple of the puzzles have some pretty seriously good scores so it will be hard to match those.

You should pic a puzzle that doesn't have ten names on the list yet and make sure you play the hard one and you're sure to get on that list. :-)

One thing to remember too, is that the scores get updated when the page reloads. So if you are playing the same puzzle over and over, you may not see your name if you made it until the reload.

So I hope you had a good trip! I'm really looking forward to the pics.

I was just thinking. Do you think it would be worth while to add scoring to the easy setting? Until now, I figured it wouldn't really be worth much because there is such a small margin for good scoring. I mean with just a little effort anyone should get a 6 and the best possible score would be a 3. But it's not often the scrambling allows a 3. It's kind of like solitaire in that way, it's part skill and part luck of the shuffle.

I was wondering what the best possible score would be for the hard one. There are 43 slices and so it should be half that give or take one or two. The best I've seen so far is Witherin's score of 36! That's going to be a hard one to beat.

hmmm, if I recall I got a 43 (due to a slip of thew click ;p) on the jumbo jet and now I notice that the worst score listed there is a 42, just missed I guess.

But how does it know your name? I don't recall being asked. Or are you only asked if you do well enough to list?

Yeah, it only asks if you "rank". ;-)

the sunsets are worse than I feared. *every* day I was there those clouds were on the horizon right where the sun would go down, still was hoping for something a little better you know... one good windsurfing shot I think out of that whole lot too. This is life with a bad camera :)

I particularly like the windsurfing one with all the windsurfers and boards on the beach. That looks like it would make a good puzzle. I'll be letting you know more in the next couple of days as I am trying to get my reply finisned for the Formal Debate we've got going in the philospophy section. Have you seen that? It's been pretty cool so far I think.

Well, I'm arguing for a transcendent, personal, creator God. One that is embraced by the Big 3, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. I wanted to do the Christian stuff another time. Only because there are a lot of different concepts of God and you can only tackle so much in one debate.

Hah! Finally finished it. I'm working on making that windsurfer a puzz right now. I really like that one. I'm gonna zoom in on the sails on the beach for the most part. Got any description you would like to go along with it? Links? Anything you want is cool with me :)

I got the puzzle up. It's a winner if you ask me. It's just perfect for a puzzle with all those colorful sails right in front. This is just too cool. This puzzle allows me to showcase the dhtml stuff and my friend's stuff all in one package.
