x Ajax Guestbook by Bugimus

My guestbook demonstrates some of what can be achieved using Asynchronous JavaScript + XML, "Ajax" for short.  I used to say my older dHTML guestbook was overkill.  I think I've taken this one a big step further by adding drag and drop methods to the cards, XMLHttpRequest data retrieval, dynamic style switching and XHTML 1.0 Strict compliance.

What is Ajax and how is it different from Dynamic HTML?  Just as Dynamic HTML was really a combination of Javascript, CSS and HTML so is Ajax a new name given to a larger set of technologies.  The following technologies comprise Ajax:

• XHTML and CSS
• DOM manipulation
• XML and XSLT
• XMLHttpRequest
• Javascript
